Things to Keep in Mind During a Viewing

Here are a few simple things to pay attention to when we’re walking through a property:

• Does it check your must-have boxes? (Bedrooms, layout, kitchen size, etc.)

• Are any of your nice-to-haves included? (Deck, finished basement, open concept, etc.)

• What kind of shape is the home in? Does it look like it’s been well-maintained?

• Are there any big-ticket items you may need to replace soon? (Roof, furnace, windows?)

• What do you love about it?

• What’s not working for you — and can that be changed now or later?

• How does the street feel? Pride of ownership? Quiet? Busy?

• Is the location right — close to schools, shops, parks, transit?
